How to clean marks from a jacket
3 min read · Leather Jacket Co

Light marks happen: a bag strap, a coffee drip, a bit of street dust. Most of them are easy to deal with when you act early.
Here is the gentle way to do it.
Start with a soft damp cloth
Dampen a soft cloth with plain water. Wipe the mark gently, working from the outside toward the middle so it does not spread.
Dry the area with a clean soft cloth.
Let it air dry
Hang the jacket on a wide hanger away from heat and sun. Do not use a hair dryer.
Check the spot once it is dry.
What to avoid
Skip strong cleaners, scrubbing brushes and rough sponges. They can mark the surface of faux leather.
If a mark does not come out, try again gently rather than rubbing harder. See the care notes on the Women's Slim Fit Biker Jacket and the Men's Classic Biker Jacket.
A simple routine
Keep a soft cloth just for your jacket and wash it often. Wipe the jacket after a night out, then hang it up. Small habits mean fewer marks to deal with later.
If you are not sure, test a small spot inside the hem first. Care is the same for every style, on pages for the Men's Bomber Jacket and the others in the range.
