Storing a jacket in summer
3 min read · Leather Jacket Co

When the weather warms, the jacket goes to the back of the wardrobe. How you put it away decides how it looks next autumn.
Here is a simple routine.
Clean it first
Wipe the jacket with a soft damp cloth and let it dry fully.
Storing a jacket with marks on it makes them harder to remove later.
Use a wide hanger
Hang the jacket on a wide, padded or shaped hanger so the shoulders keep their form. Thin wire hangers can leave dents.
Close the zip halfway, so the front hangs straight.
Pick a breathable bag and a cool spot
Use a cloth garment bag that lets air through. Plastic can trap damp.
Choose a cool, dry spot away from sun and heat. The Men's Classic Biker Jacket lists the same care on its page.
Check it in autumn
When the weather cools, take the jacket out a few days early. Let it hang in the open air, wipe it with a soft damp cloth and check the zip. Put it back on the front of the rack so it is ready.
Keep a note in the garment bag with the date you stored it and any marks you noticed. Free US shipping starts at $35, and the Women's Slim Fit Biker Jacket lists the same care note.
