Zips and hardware: what to look at
3 min read · Leather Jacket Co

The details tell you a lot about how a jacket will feel to wear. You do not need to be an expert to notice them.
Here are four things to check on any jacket.
The zip
Run the zip up and down a few times. It should move smoothly and stay closed. Look at the pull, which should be easy to grab, including with gloves.
The front on the Men's Classic Biker Jacket is a zip, and the Women's Slim Fit Biker Jacket has a zipper front with button details.
The stitching
Look at the seams at the shoulders, the pockets and the hem. Stitches should be even and tidy, with no loose threads.
Pull gently on a seam. It should hold without any gaps opening.
Pockets and lining
Slip a hand into each pocket. They should feel roomy enough for a phone. Check the lining, too: each page names it where the maker states it.
The Men's Trucker Jacket has chest pockets and a polyester lining.
