Wearing a jacket in the rain

Our jackets are made for style, not as rain gear. Even so, sooner or later a shower will catch you.

Here is what to do when you get home.

Shake it off and pat it dry

Shake off the droplets, then pat the jacket with a soft cloth.

Do not rub, since that can mark the surface.

Hang it up to air

Hang it on a wide hanger in a room with some air movement. Keep it away from radiators, fires and hair dryers.

Open the zip and the pockets so the inside can dry too.

Think about the right coat for the day

If the forecast says rain, a longer coat gives more cover. The Women's Long Trench Coat is a long cut.

Take an umbrella too. For everyday care, see our notes on the Men's Classic Biker Jacket.

After a wet day

Once the jacket is dry, wipe it with a soft damp cloth and hang it on a wide hanger. Check the lining and pockets, too. Leave it a day before you wear it again.

If you wear a jacket every day, rotate between two. The Men's Bomber Jacket is another option, in black or olive. The size guide helps with sizing.
