How to measure your chest for a jacket
3 min read · Leather Jacket Co

The right size starts with one number: your chest. It takes a minute and a soft tape.
Here is how to measure and read the chart.
Measure
Stand up straight and relax your arms. Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your chest, under your arms and across your shoulder blades.
Wear a thin layer, such as a tee. The tape should be snug but not tight.
Read the chart
Compare your number with the chest column in our size guide. Our chart runs from XS at 34 inches to 3XL at 46 inches, with an about length for each size.
Between two sizes? Pick the larger one.
Think about layers
Fit differs by style, so room for layers matters. If you will wear a sweater underneath, go up one size.
The Men's Classic Biker Jacket comes in S to 3XL and the Women's Slim Fit Biker Jacket in S to L.
A few measuring tips
Ask a friend to help if you can, since it is easier to keep the tape level. Look in a mirror to check the tape sits straight across your back. Breathe out normally and read the number, then measure twice to be sure.
Write the number in your phone with the date. Browse the men's jackets or women's jackets pages and compare the number with each size. Free US shipping applies on orders of $35 or more.
